Steel
Dockboards - World
class engineering combined with skilled
craftsmen created our most popular all steel
dockboards. Why pay high prices for aluminum
dockboards when both steel and aluminum
are moved into position with forklifts.
Steel is stronger and has a longer useful
life. .Available in 60", 72" and
84" widths and 15.000. and 20,000 lb.
capacities. Welded countoured safety curbs
with double tapered ends to resist shock
loads. Curbs also help prevent forklift
runoffs. Heavy steel plates have beveled
lip edges for smooth entries plus diamond
patterned surfaces for plenty of traction.
Front has 7" bend that extendens 17½"
into board. Rear has 9" bend that extendens
8" into board. F.O.B.

(A) Steel
Dockboards With Lift Loops And Locking Pins
- Heavy duty 1" x 2" Lifting
Loops have 11" openings and are set
on 27" centers for easy forklift positioning.
Dockboard will maintain its position after
1" stress proof steel pins are dropped
in side positioning holes. Once pins are
in place dockboard is safetly locked between
the carrier and the dock, and is ready for
use. Dockboard is designed for use at LOWER,
EVEN or HIGHER than Dock Level.

(B) Steel
Dockboards With Lifting Loops And Locking
Legs - Heavy duty 1" x 2"

easy forklift positioning. Deck has two
bends, one at 9 degrees, and another at
7 degrees to keep each end firmly on the
dock and on the trailer floor. Dockboard
is designed for use at EVEN or HIGHER,
but not at LOWER than Dock Level.

Guidelines
To Help Select The Right Size Dockboard
|
|
|
Width:
Most trailers have a minimum opening
width of 7'6". Make sure the
width of the board selected is 12"
wider than your loading equipment.
A 70" width offers better access
to end loads.
Length: Maximum Truck-Dock
level differential should not exceed
chart demensions on standard lengths.
Short length boards invite serious
safety hazards and may damage equipment
drive trains. Selecting a longer length
increases equipment life and load
stability while reducing load time.
|
|
|
How
To Determine Proper Board Length -
Subtract dimension "A"
from diemension "B"
which will give you a "HEIGHT
UP" measurement that will indicate
length of board needed from pricing
chart below. If truck bed is lower
than dock, subtract dimension "C"
from dimension "A" for range
down measurement. For this application
the entire dockboard, except for 17",
must extend onto truck bed.
